Playing with the Gnat

A while back I bought some of the "world's smallest" toys. I saw them on vacation and decided to look closer online. I ended up ordering a few different things, and Brick and Aerrow decided to have a look for themselves when the toys arrived.

Aerrow sat impatiently on Brick's lap while they opened the first thing: some tiny toy soldiers.

It wasn't long, though, before Aerrow started an all out war.

Brick might try to act stern sometimes, but he can be a bit of a big kid when it comes right down to it. He joined right in and made short work of taking out some of Aerrow's army.

That made Aerrow angry and he threw a fit, kicking over all of Brick's men.

"If you can't play nice, you can't play at all. You need a time out," Brick cleaned up the mess and put Aerrow in lockdown.

"You can just sit there for a while and think about what you did," Brick instructed.

"Fine," Aerrow continued to pout.

But before too long the allure of the other toys prompted the gnat to say he was sorry and Brick allowed him to come back and enjoy the fun again. Together they opened the second package.

The next item up was a tiny Gumby and Poky. We had little rubber Gumby and Poky toys when we were kids so I couldn't resist these ones.

The dolls like them too, especially Aerrow. "They're my size!" he cried.

"Here," Brick took Poky and set Gumby on his back.

"That looks funny!" Aerrow rolled on the floor, squealing with laughter.

"Ooohhh!" Aerrow grabbed at Brick's next toy, but the young man held him back.

"No, Aerrow, this one isn't for you," Brick told the gnat firmly.

Still holding back his enthusiastic little friend, Brick set the tiny car on the rug to see how it rolled. Moves like a dream, just like the original Hot Wheels cars.

A second Hot Wheels car was waiting among the new toys, this one blue.

Brick pushed this one along the rug as well. Aerrow still struggled to get at it, but Brick wouldn't let him. He was saving these two toys for the responsible kids.

Lastly, they opened the little Fisher-Price school bus. I love this little bus! It moves just like the original, and the door opens and the stop sign moves!

Aerrow loved it too and hoped right in. Brick gave him a push.

Aerrow scooted all over the floor.

Without warning the bus tipped over and dumped him out.

"Rawwar!" Aerrow cried. "I'll destroy you." Luckily, I rescued the bus from him before he could do damage. What can I say? Little kids are the same everywhere.

Anyway, these toys were a lot of fun and perfect size for my dolls. I think they'll enjoy them and so will I in future photo stories.
