When boredom sets in...
Today as I, Barrel Ryder, sat working on my computer I heard a small grunt as a little resin doll pulled himself up to the top of the cabinet beside me. I looked to see my newest little boy sitting there with his plushy airplane. I watched him out of the corner of my eye twirling the yellow propeller. "Hello, Aiden, is there something you wanted?" I asked.
"No. I'm just bored, I guess." He replied, giving the prop another listless spin.
"Well, maybe we can find something for you to do." I suggested.
"Really? I'd like that!" He said excitedly nearly dropping the airplane in his haste.
I carried him over to the DVD cabinet. "You could watch a movie." I said as he looked them over hopefully.
"No. None of these look interesting today. Got anything else?" He asked.
I thought for a moment then it hit me. "I think I have just the thing..." I said then smiled.
"Wow, thanks for taking me to the library." Aiden said from the chair I had given him, his nose buried in a book.
"You're welcome. Just don't read them all in one sitting. Save some for the next time you're bored." I said, smiling down at him and placing his airplane beside him.
The End.
Aiden is a YoSD that I bought off of eBay on the 9th of May. He arrived on the 12th of May. Aiden is wearing a Ken shirt, Mimi collection boots, a wig borrowed from my sister, eyes he came with, and pants made by my mom. The pants were made especially for this guy. I tried to make some and they would have been huge... I'm so thankful that God gave me a pattern-making genius for a mother.
The book he is reading is one I made myself and I may share how I did that sometime, just not today.
And last but not least Aiden's adorable airplane was made by my highly talented sister who made up the pattern and the plush in less than a week. Once again, I am super blessed to have such a talented family.
Aiden doesn't really belong to any of the families here; he's not a Roads or a Wall and he's not part of Jade's family so I'll have to figure out where he belongs sometime. Maybe he just belongs with the odd-balls in the house, like Twix...

I picked him up and carried him into the living room. "You could play Mario Kart." I said.
"I think it's too big for me..." Aiden replied, looking up at me with big sad eyes.
"Hmm you might be right."
