A Slim MSD in a Matt O'Neil Outfit Part 2

With the second Matt O'Neil outfit finished, it's time for a look at that one on Brick as well. With a BJD like Brick outfits so hard to come by, it's great to find anything that fits, let alone something that fits really nicely.

Medieval BJD, Tonner Medieval Costume

This costume has a different feel than the last one. First off it has only one cape with a built-in hood made of charcoal gray knit fabric. It's such a nice gray color, and it kind of blends into the castle backdrop a bit, but it's still easy enough to see. The knit in this cape is a little bit heavier than the Woodsman's cape, but it flows really nicely. We closed this cape with an antique silver colored toggle clasp.

And here's with the hood down.

Underneath the hood we have a black faux suede jerkin. The faux suede has a nice leather looking pattern, and makes a great jerkin. This jerkin is lined with burgundy, and has burgundy diamonds and studs along each edge.

And here's the back:

The outfit also has a faux leather belt with an antique brass colored belt buckle and a belt pouch. The pouch is done in faux burgundy leather and was hand embellished by me. It opens with a snap and has space inside for any little trinkets Brick might happen to pick up along his adventures.

Without the jerkin you can get a better look at the shirt and pants. The pants are made of brown linen and have an elastic waist band. The shirt is made of beige fabric that is a little heavier and nice and soft. It's been machine embroidered with burgundy designs. This shirt opens at the back with snaps, instead of pulling over the head. It includes eyelets and lacing for decoration only. The lacing on this outfit is not meant to be removed.

Like the other outfit, this one actually includes brown socks, but Brick wore his own socks to avoid stretching out the ones that are meant to go with this outfit.

Here's a look at the outfit on the doll it was made to fit.

Will Turner, now named Doyle, in the Rebel costume. The outfit will not come with boots, since they are another pair of Brick's boots. They were originally Will Turner's but Brick stole them, and he's not giving them up for anything either!

This outfit is up for sale on eBay and ends next Sunday night. I'll provide the link below. After this we have just one more medieval costume to finish, and then it's on to some other fun projects.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to get up a post about some of the new wigs we've got around the house. No guarantees, but I'd really like to if I don't get too busy with a tiny plushie project I'm just starting on tonight.
