New Wigs

Last time, I introduced Cory and stated that he would be getting a new wig. I shopped around a bit, though, because I really wanted a good brown wig, and I also wanted it to fit. One of the most difficult things I find in wig buying is getting the size that's advertised and also a style that's not terribly different from the pictures.

Luckily, I found a brown wig on Fabric and Friends that I really liked. Not only was the color good, the style wasn't too bad either. I may need to trim the bangs a little, because of how they hang in his eyes, but I'm going to wait a bit before I go there. My hair cutting skills need work.

Another character who needed a new wig was Cal. I really liked Cal's old wig, both the color and the style, however, it sloshed on Cal. Because it ran too large, even hot-glue sueding Cal's head cap did nothing to fix it, so I considered replacing it. I'd looked around a lot, but when I was scrolling through Fabric and Friends' wig inventory, I came across this one:

This blue was not an exact match to the online photo, but I like it anyway. It's more similar to what he came with when I first got him, both in style and color, but that's okay and this one makes him look more mature than his old gray one. I do think I might trim his bangs a little too, but probably not much. Surprisingly, his bangs don't seem to hang in his eyes quite so much as Cory's. Also, his old purple wig has been donated to a new character that will be introduced in the future as soon as he gets a body for his floating head...

Lastly, I got one final wig. As I was searching through Fabric and Friends, I saw a wig that I knew would fit Kit's personality perfectly, and suddenly Kit needed a new wig too.

So, I got it for him. I love this wig! The style, first off, is really cute and I didn't have to do anything extra to get it to look like the photo. The green goes perfectly with Kit's backstory of being a frog, and I like the light blond for the top. He definitely says "Frog Prince" in this. Actually, this wig was manufactured by Luts, so I wouldn't be surprised if they originally made it for some frog prince character or another. Doesn't matter. It looks perfect on Kit.

And it looks just as good with his hat. Kit has to wear this magic hat at all times to remain human, so I'm glad his hair works with it. I'm even more glad that this wig has a better volume of hair, because the last one I got him was very sparse and didn't work so well with his hat. His hat's still a little big with this one too, but I think I know how to fix that...

In other news, my sister and I received a shipping notification yesterday for a couple of dolls we ordered a month and a half ago. They're coming by EMS, so maybe in a week or two (or possibly a little more) we'll be able to introduce them on here. Shipping's been outrageously slow lately (a package I ordered back in March might be delivered sometime this month, or maybe the next) so I can't say for sure when the dolls will show up. Fingers crossed that it's soon, at least by 2020 standards.
