Horace in the Wild

"You're taking my picture?"

This is Horace Wall. He arrived yesterday. He's a YoSD with what I call a "disgusted" face. I just love that face. He looks so sarcastic. It works on many levels.

"What's up with my hair?"

"Why do I see double when I stare at my finger like this?"

"Yuck! I'm surrounded by dead tree buds and cobwebs."

"Eew, there's a dead bug over there?"

"What's with that tree?"

And that was all just from the backyard. I know some people don't like to take their dolls out into the sun, but I feel like the dolls are meant to be played with. Besides, all the time he spent in the sunshine amounted to less than three minutes, and it makes for lovely photos. Of course, the sun was out in full force today, with hardly any clouds in sight, so it washed him out a little when he wasn't in the shade, but around here it can be pretty sunny in the summer so I might as well get use to it.

Horace is going to be a lot of fun around the house, I can tell. With that crazy red hair and snarky expression, how could he not be? Of course, he needs a plastic wig cap under his wig before he can really get wild; his wig falls off kind of easily as it is. And I'm still deciding whether I want to change out his eyes, or keep the bright blue ones he came with. They look pretty nice in these pictures, so it's a tough call.
