Shark's Teeth Necklaces
Yesterday I got a package containing 20 shark teeth. I only needed one--I kept four, well, five--so I had to come up with a use for the rest of them. Since I'd bought them to make a necklace for a doll in the first place, I thought I'd make doll necklaces out of all of them. It took three or so hours to make sixteen necklaces--my back was killing me by the time I was finally finished. Turning eight into MSD size and the other eight into SD size, I figured I'd put them up for sale, but then Barrel Ryder decided to keep one for Marcus too, so I listed seven.
I started with the MSD necklaces, because I wanted to use Ransom for the SD pictures and his head is currently occupied, so I have to wait for a little bit to do those. Hopefully within a day or two, Ransom will be ready to work.
Rocky was a little reluctant to be a model. However, we were able to convince him after a bit. Honestly, I think he really got into it.
Rocky's necklace had a mauve seed bead twisted around the tooth with a thin, scale accurate wire.
This is Harvey. He belongs to Barrel Ryder and he was willing to be a model for us.
Harvey's necklace was a simple tooth wrapped in a twist design with wire.
Brick wasn't too keen on being a model either, especially since he's so skinny and he had to have his shirt off. But I forced him, so he had to do it. Then again Rocky would've never let him live it down if Brick had weaseled out.
Brick's necklace was extremely simple. I wanted some to of the teeth to be simple shark teeth necklace, including one of the ones I kept, so they could be almost like the doll made the necklace themselves.
Xavier didn't have a problem being a model. But then, he's always pretty accommodating.
Xavier's necklace is plain like Brick's.
Xavier talked Marcus into being a model, so he gave in.
Marcus's necklace is twisted with an orange seed bead and silver wire.
Derek is a professional model, so he was happy to help. Since he models a lot of my Tonner male outfits, he had no problem modeling a necklace to show they fit Tonner dolls too.
Derek's necklace has a little silver gear incorporated into the design. I really like the steampunk shark teeth. I made four and kept one, but the other two are for SD dolls.
Anyway, these are available on our Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MirageRiverCreations?ref=seller-platform-mcnav
