Howl's Day Out
We had a big snowstorm today, and so I took a doll out for photos in the snow. I got him back at the end of December and have been wanting to introduce him, but I wasn't quite done with his outfit yet. I'm still not--he needs a sheath for his sword yet--but I also wanted to get photos of him in the snow, and I decided today's storm was the perfect time. So immediately after breakfast, I grabbed him, my camera, and my coat and hurried out for some pictures.
This is Mycroft "Howl" Wolf. He's my winter wizard wolf. Here he is, standing in our front yard. Immediately after I took this picture, he tried to make a "wolf angel" in the snow. Before that he tried to do that same thing on his back and on his face. Our front yard is a little uneven...
He had an easier time standing on the rocks for some reason, but he may've just been leaning against the tree.
At least the snow wasn't so bad under the trees...
If it weren't for the snow on his cloak it would almost look as if this shot took place in the summer.
By about this point I was wondering what was wrong with me. My fingers were freezing, I was all wet, Howl was all wet, and the camera was wet. What sane person takes photos in the snow? The things we do for our "art"...
Finally, even Howl had to take a rest on a few logs up by the house. He couldn't wait to get back inside out of the cold and the wet, so that's where we went next.
