Snowman Hats for Everyone!
Well, not actually everyone. I'd be making snowman hats for a month in too many sizes to do one for everyone. But I did make fifteen new ones for YoSD sized BJD heads. I already had one left from when I first made a few, so all in all I had sixteen.
"Do I have to wear this? It'll give me hat hair!"
So we needed sixteen models. Between my sister and I, we have fifteen YoSD sized BJDs. For the sixteenth, I coerced Brick because he has a small 6-7" head like the little ones.
Everyone crowded together.
Horace wasn't thrilled, and I'm pretty sure Chris was in another world.
But, then again, so were Ryder and Aidan... Alien watching!
Then I needed to do individual photos next. Brick did a professional job, but then he's a mature adult. Well, he's an adult, anyway.
It was really hard to get Chris to focus.
Especially with all those leaves around.
Jasmine did well keeping her focus, but, like a lot of kids, she couldn't resist playing with her tassels. She also brought her Lego Loki with her, because she never goes anywhere without him.
This is Monotony. He's never been introduced before, because he still needs proper hair and all that. But he agreed to model for me, so here's his introduction. He belongs to Barrel Ryder and goes by the name of Tony. He wasn't exactly thrilled to be modeling a snowman hat either...
Horace's disgusted face pretty much says it all. A snowman hat, not his jam. He complained that it looked ridiculous, but I thought he looked very cut. After we got all done, he insisted the hat had given him hat hair. I told him his hair always looked like that, and now he's not talking to me.
Damian is a complete and total ham, and he loved every minute of modeling for me. He almost disappears into the background there, but I'm relatively certain that's his special power.
Ryder only wanted to go play. "Do I have to sit still and get my picture taken?" he whined.
When I told him yes he did, he pitched a fit. He's still in timeout today.
Unlike his best friend, Aidan was the perfect gentleman.
Well, except for when he tried to make shadow puppets on the backdrop.
Descole is usually pretty good about this kind of thing and he posed well for me, until I asked him to turn around, that is. Then he didn't want to stand up.
With a bit of persuasion, I got him standing at last, but only from some creative posing.
He needed one foot lifted mostly off the ground to stand. I'll never understand BJDs, because some of them just do not cooperate unless you put them in the most unnatural of poses.
Thomas thought modeling was glorious! He's a bit of a drama king. He also agreed to model only if he could go without shoes.
Since this was for selling the hat, I didn't bother making Link change his clothes. Like most kids, he's in a medieval hero phase and has been wearing this costume everywhere. He chose the red hat to match his eyes, but he was a little disappointed that it didn't go down on his head enough because of his big elf ears.
Ramon was fascinated by the tassels on his hat. And this is how we realized he needs glasses. There is no good reason to get something that close to your face, unless you absolutely cannot see.
Wendy is a little bit of a diva, but she did look adorable in that little purple hat.
This is Aurora Icee Tempest. Like Tony, Icee hasn't been introduced yet because she doesn't have a wig. However, I needed the extra model, and so she agreed. Give me fierce! Anyway, I made her dress too, and the hat is made of the same yarn, so she got to wear a hat that matched her outfit.
Speaking of dolls that can't stand up properly, here's Amy. I literally could not get her to stand except like this. Yeah... So she was in the middle of some hip hop dance moves when I snapped her photo. And I still will never understand some BJDs.
And for the last hat, Hope. She wasn't going to stand for me at all yesterday, so I told her to sit instead.
Anyway, all these hats are available for sale either on eBay or on Etsy.

Now for some more projects. I'll have to get moving, as I'm trying to save up for some things, and now it's time to learn to sew so I can make outfits for my own dolls. But we're going on vacation next month and there are a couple things I want done before we go. I've got to get it in gear.
