A Shark's Tooth Necklace
So I finally got Wyn's necklace done up since he's also done now.
First, I got him out to measure against.
Then I got all the supplies I needed, including needle nose pliers and wire cutters.
I measured out a long length of wire, just in case. It turned out to be a good thing, because it took a bit of fine tuning to get the wrapping just right.
I cut the wire off.
And then I wrapped it around the tooth.
When that was done I decided to do a variation with Wyn's necklace so that I could use the seed beads I wanted. I put a wire through the pendant, slipped beads onto it, and wrapped the end in a loop for attaching to the chain.
And I did the same to the second side.
I measured against Wyn and attached the chain to the first side of the pendant and the clasp.
For the second side I counted out the same number of chain links as the first side. Then I attached it to the pendant and clasp.
And, viola! Wyn's necklace was all finished and looked great.
Wyn was very pleased with the outcome. Now all he needs is a beach outfit to match and he'll be ready for summer. If Wyn's lucky, he might just get such an outfit by Christmas this year!
He doesn't think that's very funny, but I can be pretty slow when it comes to making doll clothes from scratch--just ask Simon, Ransom, Blaine, Brooke...
