Bears and Plushies for Sale

"There's no such thing as a bad bear. There are ugly bears and poorly made bears, but each is capable of bringing a smile to someone's face, a sense of fun or comfort."
~Mac Pohlen

I love that quote. Of course, ever since I started making my own teddies I've become one of their biggest fans, so it's little wonder that I would believe it as much as I love it. Teddy bears, actually plush toys in general, have been around much, much longer than I have and have been making people smile for ages. Often these soft, lovable creatures can capture a child's attention like nothing else can. I suppose it's for that reason that I decided my little dolls needed plushies and teddies of their own. After all, what child goes throughout their life without a stuffy companion?

That's also the reason I decided to offer some of my creations up for sale. It takes many long hours to make even the smallest of toys, and I'll never make back what I've put into each one, but every doll needs a special toy to call their own, and there are so many out there that just aren't right for BJDs. The smallest of plush toys in our world is made for humans mostly, and human toys are much too big for most dolls. So I've done what I could to remedy that. Of course, that doesn't mean that someone couldn't just have a tiny teddy like this to display. They'd look awfully nice in a collection of all kinds of bears too.

Anyway, I've shown my tiny toys off in the past, but I've never given any links to the ones that are for sale, so I decided to do that here and give you an opportunity to look closer in case you might be interested. Maybe one of your dolls needs a new friend...

This little guy stands approximately one and a half inches tall. Yes, that is a real crayon, and a standard size one at that!

He's made of a soft and fuzzy yellow upholstery fabric.

I thought the green and white polka dot ribbon went really well with this little guy.

Fairyland Soso Realpuki BJD

And here he is with Aerrow, my realpuki. As you can see, he's only half Aerrow's size, if that.

Big smiles for a little bear!

Next we have a little albino bat.

I made him with red seed bead eyes and pink embroidery floss.

Sewn in a plush white upholstery fabric with ultrasuede wigs, this little guy is as soft as a cloud.

This itty bitty bat isn't much bigger than the yellow bear.

Fairyland Pukifee Zio BJD

Here he is with Percy, my pukifee.

Fairyland Pukifee Zio BJD

Aren't they sweet together?

I shrunk a pattern to make this little unicorn.

This is my fantasy version unicorn. I made a steampunk one too, but that one has been sold.

She's done in a velvety burgundy upholstery fabric with yellow ultrasuede for hooves and her horn.

I used wool roving to make her hair.

And her necklace is golden trim.

Bambicrony Cookie Elf BJD

Here she is with Link, my Bambicrony Cookie Elf YoSD.

She has such an innocent face.

This is the largest tiny toy I've made.

She's a fuzzy pink teddy that stands just taller than a crayon.

I made her out of several upholstery fabrics, including long-pile sassy fabric and ultrasuede.

She can stand on her own, but requires a little finessing.

While I shrunk a pattern down to make this bear, adding a tail was my idea.

I stitched a purple flower behind her ear.

And hung a pretty butterfly charm from a chain around her neck.

She has such gentle, wide eyes. She could use a really good, loving home.

This pink bear is supposed to be close in size to the yellow one.

He's made of sassy long-pile fabric, just like the bigger pink bear above.

I like the cream ribbon with his pink fur.

I love how his little face is so friendly and inquisitive.

On these tiny bears the bows are almost bigger than they are, which makes them all the more endearing.

I think I'd be tempted to call this bear "Albert" if I kept him.

From behind.

Fairyland Littlefee Ante BJD

This is Wendy, my Fairyland Littlefee Ante. Every doll needs a little bear, and every little bear needs someone to love.

Each of these animals is looking for a good home, preferably with a little doll for them to love as they were intended. If your favorite doll needs a little friend, give one of these a closer look.
