First Day of Vacation

So last week we were on vacation. We were gone for nine days and travelled through four states in total. The ultimate goal of the trip was to visit our grandparents' house, but along the way we stopped a couple of interesting places.

Day one we traveled through the Rocky Mountains early in the morning. Like 5:30am early. We went along the road to go through Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and this was the view as we came up over the mountains above the "hole."

It had already been foggy on the trip, and we could see there was quite a bit more fog in Jackson Hole. Down we went and soon we came across that very fog bank.

Luckily it was only really foggy in scattered patches and it only lasted a few miles until we were outside of Jackson Hole. It was there I caught sight of a neat little museum and snapped a quick picture. Unfortunately, I saw it almost too late, and didn't have time to get a really good picture, let alone read the sign, so I have no idea exactly what kind of museum it was.

Then we drove along the base of the Grand Teton Mountain Range. Here there was an unreal fog cloud hovering just above the base of the mountains. I love clouds and fog, so got quite a few pictures of that.

I like how in this next picture it almost looks like there's a pass between the two mountains in about the middle of the picture.

Please bear in mind that all of these photos were taken out the windows of the moving car, which is why the grass at the bottom of each shot looks like it's whizzing along at approximately seventy miles an hour.
