Wyn's Bear

Image
So I painted Wyn and made him his shark tooth necklace. Next I stitched up a bear for him. Of course, in keeping with the winter theme, I did him in white with light blue paw pads, pale blue eyes, dark blue embroidery, and an iridescent plaid bow. I even gave him dark blue claws on his front and back feet. This is the first bear I've done with a jointed neck, allowing him to turn his head. I started with a 3" bear pattern, then doubled it. The 6" size was perfect for a 1/3 BJD. I like the blue details on his face. His blue eyes were a particularly nice touch. They may be pale, but they work well with the winter bear. The bear goes really well with Wyn, and when I make him PJs the bear will be a nice touch. Wyn really loves his new friend. He named him Bory, for aurora borealis. Bory the polar bear is glad to have a friend like Wyn. ~SilverStar-Burst

Wig Swap!

Image
So the guys were bored today, and to spice things up they decided to do a wig swap. Simon took Blaine's wig; Blaine took Ransom's; Wyn tried Simon's; and Ransom decided to give Wyn's wig a try. They looked pretty different... ...and none of them looked too bad. Wyn's light-toned wig went well with Ransom's tan skin. It probably would've looked even better if he'd had his own eyes in, but I need to scrub the rest of the failed face-up off his face and try again. I'm pretty sure I can get it right this time, but only once I get all the last attempt removed, which is a LOT harder than I thought it would be! Simon was the one with issues, I think. Blaine's wig made him look like a rock star, and definitely not in a good way. It's that face-up, honestly. I liked Wyn's swap best. He looked pretty good in Simon's wig. The black and blue hair wasn't too bad a choice. Of course, he had to give it back, bec...

SD Shark Tooth Necklaces for Sale

Image
Ransom is trying to earn some money, but what can a beach bum do to make money? Well, he can definitely comb the beach. So he went out and found a bunch of fossilized shark teeth. With some wire and chain, he worked them up into necklaces. His beach bum outfit made him the perfect model. Ransom wanted me to post pics of the close up of each necklace, so here goes. First, a plain shark tooth. Second, a steampunk version with a copper colored gear. Third, one with a clear seed bead that Ransom named a Sundrop shark tooth necklace. Forth, is another steampunk version with an antique gold colored gear. Fifth, the Spark red seed bead necklace. Sixth, the Water Droplet seed bead. Seventh and last, the one Ransom named the Venom seed bead necklace, because it has a purple seed bead. Ransom put a lot of work into all of these. If Ransom is lucky, maybe he'll soon be making some money. These are pretty cool, and not a bad idea for an...

Snowman Hats for Everyone!

Image
Well, not actually everyone . I'd be making snowman hats for a month in too many sizes to do one for everyone. But I did make fifteen new ones for YoSD sized BJD heads. I already had one left from when I first made a few, so all in all I had sixteen. "Do I have to wear this? It'll give me hat hair!" So we needed sixteen models. Between my sister and I, we have fifteen YoSD sized BJDs. For the sixteenth, I coerced Brick because he has a small 6-7" head like the little ones. Everyone crowded together. Horace wasn't thrilled, and I'm pretty sure Chris was in another world. But, then again, so were Ryder and Aidan... Alien watching! Then I needed to do individual photos next. Brick did a professional job, but then he's a mature adult. Well, he's an adult, anyway. It was really hard to get Chris to focus. Especially with all those leaves around. Jasmine did well keeping her focus, but, like a lot of kids...
