Okay, so I know that didn't last long, but last night I felt really guilty for listing Ransom, especially after I wrote my blog post. So this morning down he came again. I'm not ready to let him go just yet. And then I thought of a photo story. Simon and Blaine have been fighting constantly, and last night Ransom had enough. He told his friends he was moving out, and out he went. Simon was really mad at Blaine then, blaming him for Ransom's leaving. However, when Ransom got a good look at what renting alone would cost him, he was back. After all, an unemployed beach bum can't afford much himself. So, I've been getting quite a collection of dolls and it's become too large. I had a lot of Tonner dolls before BJDs, and with the BJDs it's becoming overwhelming. So I decided to sell some dolls. Most are Tonner dolls, but a few are BJDs, a couple of whom haven't even been introduced on here. One of the dolls we put up to sell was Cheyenne. She sold already. Goodbye, Cheyenne, and we hope you find a lot of love in your new home. Then were two I never introduced because I never did anything with them. I got them in March before my sister's birthday when I ordered her a doll as a present, so they had to stay secret for a while and I since discovered I don't really care for their body types. So I put up this Karsh. And this Rohan. Both will come with the eyes shown, while Rohan also includes the wig he's wearing. And, finally, Ransom. He's been a good doll, but I haven't had the time or the ability to take care of him like I should....

So I finally got Wyn's necklace done up since he's also done now. First, I got him out to measure against. Then I got all the supplies I needed, including needle nose pliers and wire cutters. I measured out a long length of wire, just in case. It turned out to be a good thing, because it took a bit of fine tuning to get the wrapping just right. I cut the wire off. And then I wrapped it around the tooth. When that was done I decided to do a variation with Wyn's necklace so that I could use the seed beads I wanted. I put a wire through the pendant, slipped beads onto it, and wrapped the end in a loop for attaching to the chain. And I did the same to the second side. I measured against Wyn and attached the chain to the first side of the pendant and the clasp. For the second side I counted out the same number of chain links as the first side. Then I attached it to the pendant and clasp. And, viola! Wyn's necklace was all fin...

I finally finished Wyn! Or at least painted him... It took a while because I wrote to that other BJD owner first to see what I could do to avoid the bubble issue, and she didn't write me back for a few days. Then I just decided to go for it and hope for the best. The result was even better than I hoped for. So to get Wyn looking his best, I hung all his pieces up on a clothesline to be sealed. It was definitely creepy looking, but a very effective way to seal a BJD, which is the only reason I'm sharing this somewhat disturbing photograph. Having the pieces at different heights didn't matter, and I was able to spray easily anyway. Since it was inside the garage it totally eliminated the factor of wind (even with the garage door open), and hanging took care of the flat surface problem. It also allowed me to go without touching the pieces more than at the very tippy top of each to turn them to spray. Even more, I was able to stand back from the pieces while I spraye...
